Flow is controlled via a thermostatic mixing valve, the inlet of which incorporates a stainless steel strainer and single check valve cartridge (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2) and feeds either a bath spout outlet or shower handset which incorporates a self-closing trigger. The inlet to the shower handset incorporates a plastic flow restrictor and a single check valve cartridge however, the complete product has not been fully tested to demonstrate it provides backflow protection. There is a combined spherical valve and strainer on the inlet to the bathing unit which incorporates a single check valve cartridge (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2). The ‘shepherds crook’ type shower outlet is protected via an AUK3 airgap arrangement. Maximum working pressure 6.0 bar. Maximum operating temperature 80°C
